Description

Simple homemade chicken nuggets that are easy to prepare and can be baked, air-fried, or pan-fried for a crispy, delicious meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 500g)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko for extra crispiness)
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Cut chicken breasts into bite-sized nugget pieces.
  2. Mix flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a shallow dish.
  3. Whisk the eggs in another bowl.
  4. Place breadcrumbs in a third dish.
  5. Coat each chicken piece first in the flour mixture, then dip in the egg, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
  6. Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet over medium heat.
  7. Fry chicken nuggets in batches for 4–5 minutes per side or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature 75°C/165°F).
  8. Remove and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

Notes

Cut pieces should be similar size for even cooking. Dry chicken lightly with paper towels before coating to help adhesion.
