Description

A refreshing and mild mocktail featuring blueberries, basil, lemon, and lavender, perfect for warm days and small gatherings.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pint Fresh Blueberries, muddled
  • 1 cup Fresh Basil Leaves, chopped
  • ½ cup Fresh Lemon Juice (approximately the juice of 2 lemons)
  • ¾ cup Lavender Simple Syrup
  • 1½ cups Soda Water
  • Ice Cubes
  • For Lavender Simple Syrup: 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Water
  • ½ cup Lavender Buds (food grade)

Instructions

  1. Make the lavender simple syrup: In a small saucepan, combine sugar and water. Stir over medium heat until the sugar is fully dissolved.
  2. Add ½ cup of lavender buds to the saucepan. Remove from heat and let the mixture steep until it cools to room temperature.
  3. Strain the syrup to remove the lavender buds and transfer it to a clean container. Store in the fridge.
  4. Prepare the mocktail: In a pitcher, muddle the fresh blueberries and chopped basil together.
  5. Add fresh lemon juice to the pitcher and stir.
  6. Add 2 cups of ice cubes to the pitcher.
  7. Pour in the lavender simple syrup and soda water; stir thoroughly to combine all ingredients.
  8. Serve immediately, garnished with additional blueberries, lemon slices, and basil leaves.

Notes

Taste as you go. If it is too sweet, add more soda or lemon. If it is too tart, add a little more syrup.
