Description

Delicious cookies featuring browned butter, crunchy toffee, and chocolate chips, perfect for snacks or gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup toffee bits

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and continue cooking until it turns golden brown and smells nutty. Allow it to cool slightly.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the browned butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time and stir in the vanilla.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the butter mixture until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips and toffee bits.
  7. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  8. Drop tablespoon-sized scoops of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden.
  10. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For thicker cookies, chill the dough before baking. These cookies can be frozen for up to 2 months.
