- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 1 cup ranch dressing
- 3 cups frozen tater tots
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup green onions, chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Mix the shredded chicken with ranch dressing, garlic powder, and onion powder in a large bowl.
- Spread the chicken mixture evenly in a greased baking dish.
- Top the chicken mixture with frozen tater tots.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the tater tots.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25–30 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the oven and garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
Notes
Preheating gives the tots a crisper finish. Mixing the chicken and ranch well makes the filling even. Spread the chicken layer flat so tots cook evenly. Add cheese near the end if you like it less browned. Let it rest five minutes so it firms up and is easier to cut.
