Description

A warm, gooey chocolate chip cookie baked right in a skillet, perfect for sharing with friends and family.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup Nutella
  • Flaky sea salt for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Whisk the dry ingredients together.
  3. In another bowl, mix melted butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
  4. Add vanilla extract and egg to the butter-sugar mixture, mixing well.
  5. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  7. In a greased oven-safe skillet, layer half of the cookie dough. Spread Nutella on top, then cover with the remaining cookie dough.
  8. Sprinkle flaky sea salt generously on top.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and the center is slightly gooey.
  10. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving warm from the pan.

Notes

Serve with vanilla ice cream for an extra treat! Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
