Description

Delicious and customizable Christmas cookies that bring the joy of the holiday season into your kitchen.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Decorations (sprinkles, icing, etc.)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the creamed mixture.
  6. Roll rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls and place them onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  7. Flatten each ball slightly with the bottom of a glass.
  8. Sprinkle on decorations as desired.
  9. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until edges are golden brown.
  10. Cool on wire racks before serving.
