Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups apple cider
  • 2 apples, sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Thyme leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper and add to the skillet; cook until browned on both sides (5-7 minutes).
  3. Remove chicken and let it rest on a plate.
  4. Add chopped onion to the skillet and sauté until translucent (3-4 minutes).
  5. Add sliced apples and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  6. Pour in apple cider, bring to a gentle simmer.
  7. Return chicken to the skillet, cover, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 20-25 minutes until fully cooked.
  8. Garnish with fresh thyme before serving.
