- 3 cups granulated sugar
- 3 cups water
Instructions
- Slice the oranges into ¼-inch rounds.
- Combine sugar and water in a medium saucepan, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
- Heat on medium-high until boiling, then reduce to a gentle simmer.
- Add orange slices in a single layer and simmer for 45 to 60 minutes, turning occasionally.
- Remove slices and place on a wire rack to cool for 24 to 48 hours until tacky but set.
- Optionally roll in sugar or dip in chocolate for extra sweetness.
Notes
