Description

A soft and spoonable baked oatmeal dish with a mild sweet profile, perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a light dessert.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter (melted)
  • ¼ cup raisins or dried cranberries (optional)
  • ½ cup fresh berries (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped nuts (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease the pie dish.
  2. Whisk together eggs, sugar, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt until smooth.
  3. Stir in oats and melted butter.
  4. Let sit for 5 minutes to absorb.
  5. Pour mixture into prepared dish.
  6. Bake for 25–30 minutes until set but slightly jiggly in center.
  7. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
  8. Top with optional berries, nuts, or honey.

Notes

Use old-fashioned rolled oats for the best texture. For a richer finish, consider swapping part of the milk for cream.
