- 1 cup cold club soda or seltzer

- 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions
- Keep a mixing bowl in the fridge and prepare a few ice cubes.
- Whisk together the flour or cornstarch, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika in the chilled bowl.
- Slowly add cold club soda or seltzer until a smooth batter forms.
- Pat the green beans dry with a paper towel to ensure the batter sticks.
- Heat oil in a heavy pot or skillet to 350-360°F.
- Dip the green beans in the batter, letting the excess drip off.
- Fry in small batches for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove and drain on a wire rack, salting immediately while hot.
- Serve with your favorite dips.
