Instructions
- Peel and dice the apples into bite-sized pieces.
- In a saucepan, combine diced apples, water, cinnamon, sugar (if using), and lemon juice.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until apples are tender but not mushy, about 10-15 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
