- 1 tbsp red or white miso paste
- 2 cups water
- 1/3 block extra-firm tofu, cubed
- 2 tbsp dried wakame seaweed flakes
- 1 small green onion, sliced
Instructions
- Pour 2 cups of water into a medium pot and add 1 tbsp of miso paste. Place it over medium heat.
- While the water heats, cut the tofu into 1/2-inch cubes and slice the green onion.
- Once the water is bubbling gently, stir the miso paste into the water until it fully dissolves.
- Incorporate the cubed tofu and dried wakame seaweed flakes, stirring gently.
- Let the soup reach a low boil for a couple of minutes, allowing the flavors to blend.
- Remove from heat and serve hot in bowls, optionally pairing with crusty bread or rice.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding vegetables like spinach or mushrooms. Adjust the seasoning with soy sauce or garlic powder to taste.
