Description

Delightful gingerbread truffles that capture the cozy essence of the holiday season in bite-sized treats.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup crushed gingerbread cookies
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 8 oz chocolate (for melting)
  • Spices or festive sugar (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Combine crushed gingerbread cookies and softened cream cheese in a mixing bowl.
  2. Mix in ground ginger, cinnamon, and nutmeg until well combined.
  3. Roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
  4. Place the balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet and chill for 30 minutes.
  5. Melt the chocolate in a microwave or double boiler.
  6. Dip each chilled truffle into the melted chocolate, letting the excess drip off.
  7. Sprinkle festive sugar or additional spices on top while the chocolate is warm.
  8. Return the truffles to the refrigerator to let the chocolate set.

Notes

Store truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week or freeze for up to three months. Allow to thaw in the fridge before enjoying.
