A fun and interactive pull-apart bread shaped like a football, filled with gooey mozzarella cheese and flavored with garlic-herb butter, perfect for tailgates or cozy gatherings.
Ingredients
- Pizza dough
- Mozzarella cheese
- Garlic
- Herbs (such as parsley or oregano)
- Butter
- Marinara sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and place a rack in the center of the oven.
- Roll out pizza dough into a 12×10-inch rectangle and cut into 1½–2-inch squares.
- Stuff each dough square with mozzarella cheese and shape into small balls.
- Arrange filled dough balls on a greased or parchment-lined baking sheet in the shape of a football.
- Melt butter in a saucepan; add minced garlic and herbs. Brush the garlic-herb butter over the dough balls.
- Bake for 15–20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.
Notes
For a sweeter twist, consider adding roasted garlic in the dough pockets before adding cheese.
