Description

A refreshing homemade loaded tea drink, blending tea, fruit, and sweetener for a delightful beverage that is easy to make.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups brewed black or green tea, cooled
  • 1/2 cup fruit juice or fruit puree (peach, mango, or lemon)
  • 1 to 2 tbsp simple syrup, honey, or sweetener
  • 1/4 cup milk or milk substitute (optional for creamier drink)
  • 1 scoop protein powder or flavored mix (optional)
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds or basil seeds (optional)
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh fruit slices for garnish

Instructions

  1. Brew two cups of your favorite tea and let it cool to room temperature or refrigerate.
  2. If using fruit puree, blend or mash your fruit during the cooling period.
  3. Mix the sweetener with a small amount of hot water to create simple syrup.
  4. In a glass or jar, combine the cooled tea, fruit juice, and syrup, then stir or shake well.
  5. If using milk or protein, add it now and stir thoroughly.
  6. Add ice and seeds last to avoid them sitting too long.
  7. Taste and adjust sweetness or fruit as needed, chill for 10 minutes if desired.

Notes

Use good quality tea for a clean taste. Adjust sweetness by changing the syrup amount or adding more fruit. Experiment with different types of fruit and sweeteners for variation.
