Description

Quick and easy Honey BBQ Chicken with a sweet and smoky sauce, perfect for busy weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs chicken thighs or breasts
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings: green onions, sesame seeds, or cilantro

Instructions

  1. Mix together the BBQ sauce and honey in a bowl.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Season chicken with salt and pepper, then add to the skillet.
  4. Cook chicken for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked.
  5. Pour the honey BBQ sauce over the chicken during the last few minutes of cooking.
  6. Serve the chicken over fluffy rice and customize with your favorite toppings.

Notes

Mix the sauce first so it is ready. Heat the pan well to get a light brown sear. Turn the chicken once to cook evenly. Add the sauce near the end to prevent burning. Let the chicken rest a few minutes after cooking to keep it juicy.
