Description

A quick and filling thin-crust pizza topped with pepperoni, ricotta, and a sweet spicy hot honey drizzle.


Ingredients

  • Pizza dough
  • Pepperoni slices
  • Ricotta cheese
  • Mozzarella cheese
  • Hot honey
  • Fresh basil
  • Pizza sauce
  • Olive oil


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven while preheating.
  2. Oil a large baking sheet if not using a stone.
  3. Stretch pizza dough into a 12-14 inch circle on a floured surface.
  4. Transfer to prepared baking sheet or pizza peel if using a stone.
  5. Brush crust edges with olive oil.
  6. Spread pizza sauce evenly, leaving a 1-inch border.
  7. Add torn mozzarella pieces and arrange pepperoni slices on top.
  8. Drop spoonfuls of ricotta cheese evenly across the pizza.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes until crust is golden brown and cheese is bubbly.
  10. Remove from oven and let cool for 2-3 minutes.
  11. Drizzle hot honey evenly over the pizza, tear fresh basil leaves on top, slice, and serve immediately.

Notes

Preheating the oven and stone gives a crisp crust. Brushing oil helps the rim brown. Letting the pizza rest keeps the cheese from sliding off.
