- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 lemon, juiced and zested
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Red pepper flakes, optional for heat
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Cook shrimp in the skillet, seasoning with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using, until pink, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add asparagus and lemon juice, tossing to combine, and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until asparagus is tender but still crisp.
- Remove from heat, stir in lemon zest, and serve immediately.
Notes
Keep to medium heat to avoid burning garlic. Shrimp should be opaque and slightly firm. Asparagus should be crisp-tender.
