Ingredients

- 1 head romaine lettuce, chopped
- 1 shallot, finely sliced
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, shaved or grated
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Chop the romaine lettuce into bite-sized pieces and place in a large bowl.
- Finely slice the shallot and add it to the bowl.
- Shave or grate the Parmesan cheese and sprinkle it onto the salad.
- Drizzle the olive oil and fresh lemon juice over the salad.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Toss everything together until well coated and serve fresh.
Notes
Best enjoyed fresh. Store any leftovers in an airtight container for 1-2 days, but keep the dressing separate to avoid sogginess.
