Description

A refreshing salad with crisp romaine, creamy Parmesan, and a zesty lemon dressing.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 head romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 1 shallot, finely sliced
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, shaved or grated
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Chop the romaine lettuce into bite-sized pieces and place in a large bowl.
  2. Finely slice the shallot and add it to the bowl.
  3. Shave or grate the Parmesan cheese and sprinkle it onto the salad.
  4. Drizzle the olive oil and fresh lemon juice over the salad.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Toss everything together until well coated and serve fresh.

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh. Store any leftovers in an airtight container for 1-2 days, but keep the dressing separate to avoid sogginess.
