A warm, fast meal combining sweet apples, salty bacon, sharp cheddar, and a touch of maple syrup, perfect for lunch or a light dinner.

- 2 slices of bread
- 2 slices of sharp cheddar cheese
- 2 slices of cooked bacon
- 1 small apple, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon of maple syrup
- Butter for grilling
Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium heat.
- Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
- Place one slice of bread in the skillet, butter side down.
- Layer one slice of cheddar cheese, followed by apple slices, bacon, and then the remaining slice of cheddar cheese on top.
- Drizzle maple syrup over the cheese.
- Top with the second slice of bread, butter side up.
- Grill until golden brown, then flip and grill the other side until the cheese is melted.
- Remove from skillet, slice, and serve warm.
Notes
Heat the pan first so the bread browns quickly. Keep the heat medium to melt cheese without burning the bread. Drizzle the maple sparingly to avoid sogginess.
