Description

A quick and savory meal featuring chicken breasts topped with bacon and a light maple glaze with garlic.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 chicken breasts, even-sized
  • 8 slices of bacon
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (if needed)
  • Fresh herbs (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Cook bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside, leaving drippings.
  3. Add minced garlic to the same skillet and sauté for 30 seconds.
  4. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then add to the skillet to sear for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden.
  5. Drizzle maple syrup over the chicken, place the crispy bacon on top, and transfer to the oven.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
  7. Garnish with fresh herbs before serving, if desired.

Notes

Searing locks flavor and color. Leave some bacon fat in the pan for browning. Watch the garlic closely to prevent burning.
