- 4 chicken breasts, even-sized
- 8 slices of bacon
- 1/3 cup maple syrup
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (if needed)
- Fresh herbs (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Cook bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside, leaving drippings.
- Add minced garlic to the same skillet and sauté for 30 seconds.
- Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then add to the skillet to sear for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden.
- Drizzle maple syrup over the chicken, place the crispy bacon on top, and transfer to the oven.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
- Garnish with fresh herbs before serving, if desired.
Notes
Searing locks flavor and color. Leave some bacon fat in the pan for browning. Watch the garlic closely to prevent burning.
