Description

Fudgy and flavorful brownies with the earthy brightness of matcha and pockets of sweet white chocolate.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon ceremonial grade matcha
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, matcha, sugar, brown sugar, and salt.
  3. Stir in melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Fold in white chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  6. Bake for 25–30 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow to cool in the pan for at least 30 minutes before cutting into squares.

Notes

For a chewy texture, do not overmix the batter. Let brownies cool fully for cleaner slices.
