- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup Nutella
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
- In a large bowl, mix together the mashed bananas and melted butter.
- Stir in the baking soda and salt.
- Add the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract, mixing well.
- Gradually mix in the flour until just combined.
- Divide half of the batter evenly into the muffin cups.
- Spoon a layer of Nutella over the batter in each cup.
- Top with the remaining batter, dividing it evenly.
- Use a toothpick to swirl the Nutella into the batter.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let cool before serving.
Notes
Preheating gives even rise and color. Do not overmix the flour to prevent tough muffins. Swirl Nutella lightly to keep streaks visible. Store in an airtight container for up to two days or freeze for up to two months.
