Description

A soothing hug in a mug that combines peppermint tea with rich cocoa for a cozy winter drink.


Ingredients

  • 2 bags peppermint tea
  • 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons honey (adjust to taste)
  • Whipped cream (optional, for topping)
  • Crushed candy canes or chocolate shavings (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Boil 2 cups of water and pour it over the peppermint tea bags. Steep for about 5 minutes, then remove the bags.
  2. In a saucepan, heat 1 cup of milk over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Once warm, whisk in cocoa powder and honey until smooth.
  3. Pour the brewed peppermint tea into a mug and then add the cocoa milk mixture, stirring gently.
