Description

Delightful cookies combining rich chocolate with refreshing peppermint, perfect for holiday gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candy canes

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and creamy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, and crushed peppermint candy canes.
  7. Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving space between them.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until edges are set and centers are slightly soft.
  9. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheets for a few minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
