Description

A perfectly roasted turkey breast filled with warmth and nostalgia, perfect for any festive gathering.


Ingredients

  • 1 whole or half bone-in turkey breast (or boneless)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 ½ teaspoons fresh thyme, chopped
  • 1 ½ teaspoons fresh rosemary, chopped
  • ½ teaspoon fresh sage, chopped

Instructions

  1. If your turkey breast is frozen, thaw it in the refrigerator for about 24 hours for every 5 pounds.
  2. About 20 minutes before roasting, take the turkey out of the fridge to bring it closer to room temperature.
  3. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine softened butter, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and herbs until smooth.
  5. Pat the turkey breast dry and season the outside with salt and pepper.
  6. Gently loosen the skin of the turkey and spread herb butter underneath and on the surface.
  7. Place the turkey in a roasting pan and roast for about 14–15 minutes per pound, checking the internal temperature at 165°F (74°C).
  8. Once roasted, tent the turkey with aluminum foil and let it rest for at least 15 minutes before carving.

Notes

Use a meat thermometer to ensure accurate cooking. Leftovers can be stored for 3-4 days in the refrigerator or frozen for up to 6 months.
