Description

A creamy and spicy ricotta dip drizzled with hot honey, perfect for gatherings and charcuterie boards.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole milk ricotta cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon chili flakes (adjust to taste)
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce or chili oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Fresh cracked pepper
  • Optional: fresh herbs (thyme, basil, or chives)
  • Optional: lemon zest for garnish
  • Crostini, pita chips, or sliced baguette
  • Sweet peppers or cucumber slices

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, combine ricotta cheese, olive oil, salt, and garlic powder. Blend for 1-2 minutes until smooth and creamy.
  2. In a small saucepan over low heat, warm the honey with hot sauce or chili oil and chili flakes until infused.
  3. Spread the whipped ricotta into a shallow dish and create swirls with the back of a spoon.
  4. Drizzle the hot honey generously over the ricotta.
  5. Garnish with fresh cracked pepper, lemon zest, and herbs if desired.
  6. Serve alongside crostini, pita chips, or vegetable slices.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days. Reheat before serving for best texture.
