Description

Flaky pastry wrapped around a creamy filling of spinach and feta cheese, perfect for brunch or appetizers.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: garlic powder or onion powder, for seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together spinach, feta, cream cheese, salt, pepper, and optional spices.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut it into 1-2 inch strips.
  4. Place a spoonful of the filling at one end of each strip, then twist the strips to create spirals.
  5. Brush the tops with beaten egg and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake for about 15-20 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with dips like tzatziki or marinara. They can be made ahead and stored in the fridge before baking.
