Instructions
- Preheat the waffle iron according to manufacturer’s instructions.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix the eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients until just mixed; small lumps are fine.
- In a small bowl, beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth, then fold in the sliced strawberries.
- Pour waffle batter onto the preheated waffle iron, add a spoonful of cream cheese mixture on top, and close the lid.
- Cook according to waffle iron instructions until golden brown.
- Serve warm, drizzled with strawberry syrup and dusted with powdered sugar.
Notes
