Ingredients
Scale
- 2–3 pounds turkey wings
- 2 tablespoons avocado or olive oil
- 1 tablespoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce (optional)
- 1/2 cup chicken broth or water
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon flour
- Squeeze of lemon (for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Pat the turkey wings dry and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, dried thyme, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Toss the wings with oil to coat evenly.
- Arrange wings in a single layer on a rimmed baking sheet, leaving space between each piece.
- Add a half cup of chicken broth or water to the pan to keep things moist.
- Cover the pan with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil and continue baking for another 30 to 45 minutes until the skin is deep golden and the meat is tender.
- To make the pan gravy, place the pan on medium heat, scrape up the browned bits, add butter, and whisk in flour until smooth.
- Gradually add more broth, season to taste, and simmer until thickened.
- Let the wings rest for 5 to 10 minutes before serving with gravy.
Notes
For extra saucy wings, whisk a quick finishing sauce while they roast using the pan drippings.
