Description

Fresh rice-paper rolls filled with seasoned beef and basil, perfect for quick lunches or light dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/2 cup chopped bell peppers
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • Rice paper wrappers

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef with soy sauce and hoisin sauce until fully cooked.
  2. Add shredded carrots and chopped bell peppers, cooking until tender.
  3. Soften rice paper in warm water, one sheet at a time.
  4. Lay the beef mixture and fresh basil on each rice paper wrapper, then roll up.
  5. Serve immediately, or store the filling separately until ready to serve.

Notes

Browning the beef well builds flavor. Ensure to soak rice paper just enough to avoid tearing.
