Description

A delightful blend of crunchy Chex cereal coated in a buttery toffee that brings warmth and nostalgia to every occasion.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups Chex cereal (any variety)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Melt unsalted butter in a medium saucepan over low heat.
  3. Add brown sugar to melted butter and stir until well combined. Remove from heat once glossy and bubbling.
  4. Mix in vanilla extract and salt.
  5. In a large bowl, pour Chex cereal and drizzle the butter mixture over it. Gently fold until coated.
  6. Spread the mixture onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  7. Bake for about 15 minutes, stirring halfway through until golden brown.
  8. Allow the Toffee Chex Mix to cool completely before serving.
