- 4 cups Chex cereal (any variety)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Melt unsalted butter in a medium saucepan over low heat.
- Add brown sugar to melted butter and stir until well combined. Remove from heat once glossy and bubbling.
- Mix in vanilla extract and salt.
- In a large bowl, pour Chex cereal and drizzle the butter mixture over it. Gently fold until coated.
- Spread the mixture onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake for about 15 minutes, stirring halfway through until golden brown.
- Allow the Toffee Chex Mix to cool completely before serving.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to a week; freeze for longer storage if needed.
