Description

A rich and creamy White Pasta Sauce that adds comfort and elegance to any pasta dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat until the butter is melted.
  2. Add minced garlic and sauté for about a minute until fragrant, being careful not to brown it.
  3. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes until it turns a light golden shade.
  4. Gradually whisk in the milk, stirring until the mixture is smooth and free of lumps.
  5. Cook the sauce for 5-7 minutes, stirring constantly, until it thickens.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and well combined.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then serve over your favorite pasta, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

For a dairy-free option, substitute milk with non-dairy milk and nutritional yeast for cheese.
